单身粮 小仙女撩面 豚骨拉面 原味 DanShenLiang Little Fairy Liao Noodles Pork Bone Ramen Original Flavour Instant

Finale video to upload in 2020... Arrgggh... forgotten to peel out the "wings" of the cup... Costs SGD14.90 for 6 cups at ezBuy. Bought the other flavour (spicy and sour) too, and both taste good, although I only put in a bit of the chilli paste it is already very spicy, and I did not put in the vinegar, as stomach don't quite like to eat sour stuff anymore... This non-spicy version has corn bits in replacement for chilli paste and vinegar of the other version. Noodles are thin and extremely chewy, and the soup broth is good. Has cute little narutomaki pieces and also 1 piece of char siew which taste quite ok too. Overall a good cup of instant ramen.

my REDISCOVER SINGAPORE Trip 2 : East Coast Park to Marina Bay (via PCN)

Went on my longest cycling trip today. Took the PCN from East Coast Park to Marina Bay.  Had brunch at Satay by the Bay, and found the kueh pie tee to be very nice!!!! After exploring Garden by the Bay, I cycle to Raffles Place MRT station to take MRT home. Tiring but fun.

"Rediscover" Singapore 19 Dec 2020 (4/4) - Red Dot Design Museum SG

Yeap, used my SingapoRediscovers Vouchers SRV to buy the SGD10 ticket, and which also includes a SGD10 voucher to buy stuff at the museum. A bit disappointed that many physical products are not present, only the posters to show... anyway, quite enlightened by many of the designs, and also at the same time, reaffirms that sometimes designer only focus on 1 aspect and forgotten the others...

Voucher and entry card...

Think the staff left the pail there, forgotten to keep... but it makes a good object for picture...

Shape memory fabric cloth...

End off the journey by munching away a big plate of nacho chips and latte, with riverside view... for SGD1.80 after using the voucher... Next target: Satay by the Bay... probably...

"Rediscover" Singapore 19 Dec 2020 (2/4) - Thian Hock Keng 天福宫 and (3/4) Merlion

Sadly cannot take pictures inside the temple... But is fine, as what goes into me as my experience is there... It has been many years since I last visited this temple... Very amazed by the building art works and details of and inside the temple.

Then set off to find the Merlion... I think is at Merlion Park... And also managed to find the Merlion Cub too...

Merlion washing my Carryme folding bike...

Finally about time to cycle off to Red Dot Design Museum SG...

"Rediscover" Singapore 19 Dec 2020 (1/4) - Amoy Street Food Centre

After many days of recuperating from the lateral foot pain injury (which I did not realised that it will take so long to heal to a walkable state), I finally got the chance to go for my urban-cycling exploration of Singapore... But woke up to a shock when saw the rain and cloudy sky... In the end decided to try my luck when rain seem to almost stopped and I set off.  Took MRT to Raffles Place station...

Then cycle+walk to my first destination which is Amoy Street Food Centre for late breakfast.

Had the fishball-bar chor mee from “Michelin Plate” Ah Ter Teochew Fish Ball Noodles. Ordered the SGD5 one with thin noodles (mee kia).  The noodles are strangely quite smoky, savoury and strong in taste, perhaps is the addition of the chilli sauce. It is quite in contrast with the soup which tasted sweet and reminds me of the flavour when added in winter-vegetables (冬菜) . These 2 combined gives a nice taste. Noodles are quite chewy. Ingredients are also quite good.  Suspect the pork slices are marinated with wine. Anyway, good bowl of noodles for breakfast.

Also had "Bib Gourmand" J2 Famous Crispy Curry Puff. Ordered one curry and 1 black pepper chicken (?).  The outer skin is the flakiest curry puff skin I had. Very nice. Contents are quite good good too.

Then proceed to walk over to Thian Hock Keng temple, or a.k.a. Mah Zor Keng as our family usually calls it...

"Urban Hiking" - Target : Wu Pao Chun Bakery @ Capitol Piazza

3rd "urban hiking" trip this quarter of the year. This time is from home in Bedok to Wu Pao Chun Bakery at Capitol Piazza.  Objective is to buy Red Wine Longan bread for my parents (and of course, myself) and (1/2 loaf) of Lychee Rose Royale bread for cousins and siblings... Felt more conditioned than first 2 times of "urban hiking", but in the end still got lateral foot sprain pain at right foot, still not sure why, as it was my right foot that I thought I had strained when mis-stepping on the pavement. Anyway, pain has mostly subsided by now. This time walked along Changi Road instead of Sims Avenue East. Very fun to see the surrounding changed slowly and discovering new places never seen before. Had breakfast along the way at Yong He Eating House. It is a good break from walking, but I don't think I will visiting it for the food in future. Hopefully 1 day can "hike" to the west side.

* EDIT:  Turns out the lateral foot pain is much worse, took about 6 days before I can walk with negligible pain...
