Bought this from NTUC Finest, was wondering if this will taste any better than what we have tasted before... Added some imitation crab sticks and pork balls...
Perhaps I cooked too long (slightly over 3 minutes) and the noodles is not as springy as I thought. Perhaps next time timer can set to 2 mins 30sec... Soup is also a bit salt-ish, but maybe is because of the pork balls added...

Genting Trip June 2016
Nearly forgotten to post these pics up taken during my recent trip to Genting.... It was a very "food"-ful trip, hahahaha....
Day 1
Initially we had our breakfast at Marrybrown's, but it was cut short after we witness some little "friends" "running" around the place like nobody's business... So we head towards the restaurant besides "Only Mee" and had Roti Prata/Canai... Absolutely nice!!!! Initially did not expect the quality to be good but in end the prata turned out to be fragrance and fluffy and a bit crispy... Very different from what I had in the Cafe Lobby a few years ago... But the ordering process may be a bit messy (especially for the staff)...
Had our lunch in Coffee Terrace which serves good and varied food, buffet goodness! We all felt the quality of food has improved a lot, and is a bit weird considering now they don't fry the vegetables upon ordering but the vegetables tasted even better! Vegetarian food was unexpectedly good. 1 recommendation will be the Western booth's (roasted?) chicken.. tender and so good!!! Was so full that I had to give up the cake and desserts except ice-cream (the cakes in the pictures belonged to my mum, hahaha...)
Such a nice scenic view with clouds by your side... hahahaha...
And for Day 1 dinner, we went to Bubbles and Bites... A bit disappointed that their variety seemed to have gone down.. and my folks commented that their pizza quality also dropped a little... but the peri-peri wings are still nice... Accompanying the meal was a nice cup of iced latte...
Day 2
Our plan was sleep late and wake up late, in time for lunch, hahaha... So our first meal for the day was lunch... Saw this advertisement that Power Rangers was having a live show performance in Genting... did not want to spend the $ for the admission, so did not go...
Had lunch at Ah Yat Restaurant... And though we did not have abalone, the dishes we ordered are absolutely tasty!!!!!! We had lots of vegetables this time, and the salted egg 4 seasons beans (pardon my bad translation), tofu and dim sum were absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!
Finally had a chance to eat the super nice tea eggs after many years!!!! Hahahaha....
As for dinner, it was at Munakata Ramen... Originally planned to have steamboat, but it was fully reserved, and seemingly a lack of staff for operation... A good option but cannot say so for the quality of food served... Still ok bah, if you are not particular about food quality... But will try out other restaurants next time we go Genting....
Day 3
Day 3!!!! And lunch was at the Chinese-Thailand Cze-Char stall(s) at the kopitiam in 4th(?) floor... Nice!!!!!! (though my parents thought the fried coconut shoots has "de-proved"... the curry fish head was bought from another stall... And had bubble tea for the first time in umpteen years!!! which weird, considering there are a couple of bubble tea shops around my place and especially 1 at a stone's throw from my house... hahahaha....
How can we miss out the ice cream???!!!! Nice....
Dinner was scheduled to be at Ming Ren Restaurant but it was fully booked... So we decided that we could re-visit the Spice Garden restaurant, and it proved to be the BEST decision made in this trip.... Cos it serves EXCELLENT EXCELLENT food!!!!!!!!!! Must eat again must eat again!!!!!! Every dish is delicious!!!!! AWESOME!!!!! Superbly good!!!!!!!
Day 4
As it was the last day, we had to wake up earlier to check out and catch the coach back home... and had our breakfast at East Court restaurant, to try their dim sum... To me the quality of the dim sum of Har Kow and Siew Mai is about a class lower than that in Ah Yat's, but don't be mistaken as they are still good food (yeap, Ah Yat's are probably too good)... Very pleasant dining experience, especially they serve chinese tea old school style...
Head back home... and during a "pit stop" (a.k.a. "leak"-stop), we bought some kueh to eat later in Yong Peng... They no longer make them on the spot but the taste is still quite good!
Had this Fishball-Yong Tau Foo beehoon soup at Yong Peng... the quality has improved!!! Fishballs were flavourful without the "fishiness" smell, and the soup base is no longer too saltish (which was what happened last time I tasted it a few years ago) but light and fragrance... nice... Also ate some kaya balls, and finally bought some steamed chick peas (?) to eat on coach trip... ahhh.... nice... looking forward to the next trip...probably next year or so... till next time!!!
