Genting Trip November / December 2017 - Day 2

DAY 2
Day 2's lunch was at out familiar cafe "Bubbles and Bites"... And we feast again!!! Hahahaha... Seem they change their menu yearly, as I find quite some new food on the menu... And they are good!!!!! The chicken meatballs are good!!! My brother even suggested they should be ccompanied by a glass of white wine and that will be perfect! My father enjoyed the seafood pasta, and keep saying the taste is very unique and different from the usual ones... For me, I loved the Margherita pizza topped with turkey(??) ham... So delicious!!! Hahahaha... Of course we did not forget to have the all-time favourite peri-sauce chicken wings... Oh, the chicken burger is also very delicious and portion is very very big!!!Shiok ah...






After a good lunch, we proceed to the Premium Outlets for shopping!!! It was a good experience taking the new cable car to travel down to Premium Outlets, and along the way, we decided to give the Chin Swee Temple a miss as it seem to be a long (escalator) walk from the station to the temple... yah, very lazy, I know, hahahaha... Unfortunately, we plan wrongly to shop for 1.5 hours only, not knowing the Premium Outlets is flooded with shops ... anyway, we have already decided to spend more time in shopping here... on the next trip, that is...



And of course, after shopping, its time for tea-break!!!! We went to the "DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe" with objective to just take some pics and rest the legs; little did we know the drinks are so nice!!! I ordered the Shazam one, think is Ribena with lychee... The little bubbles in the drink "pops" when your tongue gently squeeze it, so fun!!! Also got lots of displays to look at and we took lots of pictures of them... And my family also bought some of the merchandize... Maybe I should visit the Marina Bay Sands outlet too...


















And dinner time follows very quickly!!! We had reserved a table at Ming Ren restaurant, and ordered a table of nice food to feed our always-hungry tummies... hahahaha... though I find the food quite nice, my father insisted the food quality has dropped... hmmm...




After lunch we stroll a bit around Sky Avenue to help digestion before going to casino again... and we saw this food stall/shop that we are tempted to try next time... the next trip probably...

Genting Trip November / December 2017 - Day 1

Went to have a short break at Genting Highlands after 1 year of absence... cos now they have the new Sky Avenue and Premium Outlets for shopping!!!! Hahahaha...

DAY 1
Day 1 started off with a good local breakfast of noodles soup at Ah Meng in JB (I think)... The taste is good!!! The way they prepare and cook the organs is fantastic, though my parent and cousin mentioned the fish (M size bowl on-wards) is not as good... Fantastic way to start off the day !!!




We reached Genting at around 1 plus pm, but the rooms are not ready yet, so we decided to check in our luggage and go for lunch first... And we decided to go "Burger and Lobster" to try our luck... and boy, aren't we lucky!!!! There was no queue AT ALL !!!! ... probably is because of the time (about 2pm plus already), and is a weekday... nevertheless, we are very glad no need to queue (which we did see many times later)... Feast time!!!! We all had lobsters as we did not eat beef and also felt rolls are not worth the money, and we had various of the combinations... The verdict was Steam-Garlic_Butter should be the best combo for us... We notice the price was up a bit though, and is now without the alternate members' price... but is ok, the food is fabulous!!!! The 'Timekeeper' drink is specially presented and taste good too!!!






After lunch, we checked in and return to exploring the Sky Avenue... The "Malaysia Food Street" is bustling with people but not too crowded. Price is actually quite ok, for tourism-food, that is...





The Sky Avenue is a good place to shop and eat!!!! Ok, going to casino liao!!!! Hahahaha...




We decided to pamper ourselves more today, so after the lobster lunch, we chose our dinner to be... Abalone set dinner at " Ah Yat Kitchen" !!!! Very luxurious (and crazy) ah!!! hahahaha... Oh, and we had "Street Churros" churros as dessert after that and it was so delicious for my family that they decided to have it again 2 days later... hahahaha...

Kang Shi Fu Chicken Noodle Instant Bowl Noodles 康師傅 香菇炖鸡面 ( 碗 )

I tried the Kang Shi Fu Chicken Noodle Instant Bowl Noodles 康師傅 香菇炖鸡面 on a cool cloudy day... Taste is actually not bad... if you don't cook for too long... it includes some wolfberries / goji berries, and teeny bits of "chicken" and mushrooms...

Easybab - Woori Bibimbap Mushroom Flavor Instant Bibimbap Rice

I tried the Easybab - Woori Bibimbap Mushroom Flavor Instant Bibimbap Rice, costs $2.90 at NTUC Fairprice Finest Bedok Mall... It was DELICIOUS !!!! .... though I wonder how real the rice is... I mean, I kept hearing about fake rice, so not sure where the rice the company used is from .... Seems that the rice and ingredients are freeze dried and hence able to keep the lifespan very longer without need for refrigeration... Despite the many worries, I must still emphasize, it is DELICIOUS !!!!! Can't wait to try the kim chi flavour version...
