麦奀 Mak's Noodles @ Centre Point...

Had lunch here yesterday...


The Homemade Luo Han Guo (自制罗汗果) drink (cold, $3.50) tasted a bit of sour at first mouth... Not as strong as I liked it to be though... but then again, I like very strong Luo Han Guo drink.. hahaha... The main dish was the Wonton Noodle in Soup ( 世家云呑(面)) (Big version) ($8.50), consists of 5 wantons, noodles, soup and chopped spring onions... Prices are before 10% service charge and 7% GST...


Good Points: Noodles are slim and springy, and no "alkaline water" taste, soup is quite nice savoury-sweet with tinge of pepper, wanton filling is shrimp i.e. Hong Kong Style... Bad Points : Noodles are a teeny weeny bit too slim for my personal preference, wanton seemed to have been left for some time after pre-cook stage as the skin is a bit hard at some places for some wantons... Shrimps in wanton is not as springy as I will like to have... maybe have been in the fridge for too long after been filled into the wantons? Hmmm... Will I come and eat again? Likely, since generally the taste is ok, and cos I also want to try the dry noodles version, hahahaha...

And most of the food I tried is nice !!!!!


This Chicken Claypot Rice is highly recommended... If you don't gobble up the food fast, you can find bits of salted fish which hypers up the flavour...


The Hainanese Curry Rice is good too! Though recommend to eat there and not take-away... Picture shown is the fried fish version, there are also other meat to accompany the curry rice with...



But this is so so only... not really recommended unless you have a super duper luper strong craving to eat Fried Oyster Egg...

This is FANTASTIC !!!! Highly recommended!!! The big red beans is the soft chewy type, very fragrance.... Also good is the laksa, which I forget to take picture of...

Lunch At Dian Xiao Er (Bedok Mall) and Happy Chinese New Year to All !!!!

Had lunch at Dian Xiao Er today with my 2 elderly, and it is our first time dining there (Bedok Mall branch)... And we were not disappointed !!! Ordered all these for our the 3 of us (one of the order was repeated accidentally...) ...


Angelica Roast Duck was good!!!!! Solid!!!!


Dong Po Pork was quite nice too, must eat the whole piece (skin, fat and meat together)...


A bit saltish, this dish packs a flavour, and though the prawns are a bit small, they are quite succulent (did I use the correct word??)...


Belacan Kangkong was not bad too!


And my dad and I ordered the Luohan Fruit with Longang drink, was nice!!!!!! The Luohan fruit taste is not strong, mild yet can still taste it...

Genting Trip December 2016...

Some... actually quite many pictures of my recent trip to Genting...

Day 1
Reached Genting and images of Ultraman(s) (and Baltan) greeted us... hahahaha...






We had roti canai as breakfast at the shop besides "Only Mee", and it was quite nice!!!! Set comes with a drink and 2 plain roti canai at 8 ringgit...


Walk-see-jalan is quite nice after breakfast... and there is a new shopping-eating place "Sky Avenue", shops not fully open yet but already we are looking forward to it !!! ...



And lunch is at Ah Yat restaurant... We have dim sum... all except the char siew bao are quite nice!!!!! hahahaha... Too bad we went too late and some of the dishes are sold out already....










For dinner, we returned to our long-awaited Indian cuisine restaurant... Shiok ah!!!!!












Day 2
We had planned to wake up late to have lunch... and today's lunch is at Eastcourt restaurant, which we chanced upon a set lunch deal that was affordable and super nice!!!!! Love the Vinegar Pork Trotters most!!! Thai-style Fried (whole) Fish is also solid!!! Prawns in the fried egg are medium sized!!! Vegetables are crispy!!!!






For Day 2 dinner, we went to Bubbles and Bites for some nice pizza, pasta, wings, fish and chips, and not forgetting tiramisu cake for dessert!!!! Nice!!!!










Day 3
Very early early breakfast buffet at The Food Factory... personally find it quite ok, though my other family members don't feel so... hahahaha...






Bought some tidbits at this local snacks shop...


And dinner is at Yong Peng stop... as usual had this bee hoon soup which is very very nice!!!!


And my haul for this trip... hahahaha...
