Delayed Post #2 - Family(s) Outing At Singapore Flyer

Yesterday morning was my family outing to the Singapore Flyer. It was an outing with my uncle's family and mine combined. Nice place, although half the time my mind was on my assignment due Mon... OK, 2 posts done, almost time to continue with my work liao, will post pics later then...

Edit: Ok, here are the pics, don't think this fella can "fly" anytime soon...

Inside the cabin...

The F1 race tracks...

Christmas deco inside the cabin...

IR building in progress...

Floating platform... hmmm... post countdown party cancelled...

A model of the IR... see the hand-shaped bowl grasping the money gamblers bring in? Also, giving out mist to "smoke" the gamblers...

There's a small 'forest' garden at the basement of the S'pore Flyer... cute flowers...

Mini waterfall....

Waterfall view from the inside!

Delayed Post #1 - GCE 'N' Level Results are Out

The GCE 'N' Level results are out on Thursday. Not bad for my students for my subject. Both NA and NT got 100% passes. NA got 83% (or 85% ?) distinction. Of coz I believe the other teacher's group got more of these distinction kids, .... but it doesn't bother me... It is the kids who will be getting their grades, not me.... Like I told my other HOD (I got 3 HODs to account for) who congratulated me for the good results, these are their own results, their own consequence for putting in that amount of level, whichever amount they put in... (plus a bit of luck as well...) and their success is through their own efffort....

My c0-form NT class has 1 grp whom I taught D&T to. They did pretty well too... 50+ % got A or B.... "huh? 50% considered good???", you may ask... Think national average is about 20+% nia.... Ok, all these figures are from my pathetic memory only ( I've never been able to remember such data numbers, and I don't care about them in the 1st place either...) ... actual numbers... left it on my office table... maybe get it next Mon then I'll post them....

You should see & hear them clap & cheer when their respective stream's D&T results were annouced by the P....

Congratulations, people!!!!!!!!

Edit: Numbers here, national grades are in brackets [ ]...
NT : Distinctions (A) - 53.8% [29.8%], Passes - 100% [93.6%]
NA : Distinctions (1 & 2) - 89.5% [29.9%], Passes - 100% [93.9%]
* For my NA grp: 3 got Grade 1, 6 got Grade 2, 1 got Grade 3.

December Is Here... and So Is the Flu Virus...

Have been battling a flu since last week... never manage to recover fully... dunno why.... because of this flu I can't do my work properly (and next Mon is the deadline)... and miss out on a KOK trip with my old kakis.... sianz.... so much want to go KOK, but ... sigh.... this is my annual flu, happens every Dec... during the holidays... what a fate I have...

p.s. BTW, Readyboost does no significant improvement for my HP 2133...

Geezzz.... I'm Tired... Really Really Tired....

I am tired... nuff said...

Still, I must say: Free things may not come good. Why? Because my HP 2133 that comes free with the MaxOnline contract sucks... sorry, but it really cannot make it... Its processor is 1.2GHz, runs video clips jerky or slower motion than sound using even Real player... lousy.... compared to my SH8, 800MHz, runs more smoother.... No to mention the slower startup time, slower IE response time... nevermind, will shift to new office to use... sigh.. only goes there once in a blue mood.... hope the Readyboost will help...

Tired.....

Selamat Hari Raya!

To all friends, Selamat Hari Raya to all of you!! :)
