X-Ray, MRI and... Operation???

Today went down to CGH for 1st-time specialist consultation, for my ankle... after some fiddling of my ankle/foot here and there, the "bo-chap"-faced doctor said that I need an MRI, as I may have 3 types of issue with my ankle + tendon... He explained briefly, but I still can't remember... anyway, he also mention may need operation to repair the damage, pending MRI scan 2 weeks later & result weeks later... heck, never thought 1 sprain could be so complicated...

Sick... again....

Caught slight cold & throat infection last night... went to Bedok polyclinic today, and 顺便check on my freaking-still-swollen-after-6-months ankle... Doctor suggested to go take X-ray, and I went down to TP polyclinic to do it... man, should not have drove, groggy... anyway, learned that x-ray results can be read on-line (by doctors) !!!! Went back to Bedok polyclinic, doctor assured that my bone is ok, so likely ligament or some other injured, and caused the slight swelling... which I assure you my injured ankle never went down to its normal size since December' fateful day.... Anyway, lucky to get an appointment this coming Thurs, else the nearest will be in November... but this means got to take time-off... sigh, what would my boss think??... hmmm...

New Gadget - Holux GPSmile 62F TMC

Bought this GPS yesterday in the Gain City Expo Sale. Did not plan to buy anything initially... as I was walking from Hall 5 to 6B, there was a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG queue to the redemption for $8 goodie bag or something... Walk and happen to see this few stalls selling GPS, and remembered I do always talk about wanting to get a GPS... so bought 1... then remembered that this may not be a good brand... but nevermind lah, try out 1st then make comment... Price? $289 with the TCM device...

Next IT item? Probably a SIM dongle, or iPhone 4, or projector screen... or nothing, since boh lui liao, hahaha....

WARNING: To all users of this piece, DO NOT USE IT TO NAVIGATE TO "CITY SQUARE MALL", it will lead you to a dead-end road... hahaha... perhaps updating the map will help, if it has an update, that is... Oh, and couldn't find a way to set it to route WITH HIGHWAYs if possible...

Anyway, quite fun, hahaha.... now just need to find a micro SD card to test out the media player function...

Free Day Today - Lunch at BBQ Chicken...

My free day today... no lessons today... so go over to Toyota Pandan to service my car, and 顺便 change my old old tires... so today car's bills will be costly... nevermind lah, pamper it a bit lah... Am now in BBQ Chicken, West Coast Plaza outlet... Had the lunch promotion meal, chose the Korean grilled chicken (w/ 2 side dishes : Olive oil rice & coleslaw), complimentary soup-of-the-day (mushroom cream today), 1 scoop of ice-cream & 1 drink... yes, now blogging there...

(1) Mushroom soup (B+) - quite creamy, with slightly bigger-than-usual chunks of mushrooms... can feel the mushroomy flavour... portion is a bit small, but this should be correct: not too much, else will feel too full to eat the main meal....


(2) Korean Grilled Chicken (A) - Overall taste is sweet... meat is indeed flavourful - lives to the name of 24 hours of marinate!!!! Can taste the flavour in the meat too... guess they used sweet onions ... meat is tender, not tough... skin is good, though I remove most to slow down my "pregnancy"... Olive-oil rice is ok... coleslaw is... well... coleslaw... hahaha... not too bad...


(3) Chocolate ice-cream (A-) - sticky gluey chocolate poured over the chocolate ice-cream... Goooooood.... sprinkled coloured-sugar bits shows they are now sloppish over free-bies... I see the sincerity...

(4) Coffee (C+) - hmm... thin... taste like McDonald's type, but smells more fragrance...




Overall : Good, recommend for friends/colleagues makan-gathering...

Dog Tired... And It's Supposed to be School Holiday Now

Anyway... took a picture of a student in an earlier exam, with a funny hair pin (or stick? Dunno what it is called... ) with a pencil shape!!! Funny!...


My nephew's birthday gift from his aunt or someone... cool... has solar panel to power a small fan & sunglasses that slides down...

Oh, celebrated his birthday last last week...

Expo Mania Today

Singapore Expo is extremely crowded today... lots of events happening today: License-2-Play (with Toy Carnival), Popular Fair, Food Fair, John Little Sale, etc etc... Hear people complain that they are caught in a jam for 3 hours before able to drive into the Expo car park... Heng ah, I expected this to happen, and decided to go by bus, hahaha... Personal haul (partial) as seen below:


John Little Expo Sale - Met up old secondary school friend Xiao Wei there!! So coincidence, and she also bumped into CYQ earlier! What a small world... Now she is already a mother of 2, so fortunate...

The Toy Carnival - this year is a little small corner, compared to last year's 2 levels, sigh.. , just some stalls, and not many have wonderful offers...

S'pore Food Fair - Was too crowded and too late, so did not venture into it...

Dinner Now...

Yup, my dinner now... Oil-Chicken Rice (油鸡饭)... home-cooked... niceeeee....
