Sunday... Dun Feel Like Working...

... partly also because I have been having a very bad and painful throat for the past few days... Strted around Thursday, only yesterday then realised that should be du to the black melon seeds that I eaten on Wednesday... Wah, throat was extremely painful, and iritating, feel like vomiting... and worse is whole head feels heavy... sigh... Fri last min got to go back eat dinner, have to miss out the makan trip with HZ, ZW, CYQ.... sorry guys...

My SH8 is back!

... with an inactive pixel right at the top of the screen... nevermind lah, its my fate to always get a new product with some defects... fated... ut since not so obvious, so still ok lah...

Anyway, left office early to go collect the notebook... was drizzling when I got into the car, so, switch on engine an then flip up the left lever to wipe windscreen... an saw the driver side wiper gone!!!!!!!! wow!!!!!! Stealing a wiper...man, this thief must be having problem with his wiper, in a hurry, pluck mine... haha... suay ... or possible is the student's work??? Possible too... Anyway, was not bothered... Yeah, I am also surprised why I am not that angry...

So got to drive to the nearest petrol kiosk as the rain gets heavier, and bought a pair of wipers... good also lah, my wipers are long long long long overdue... Maybe the thief is cursing and swearing he so suay to have stolen a lousy worn out wiper, hahahahaha...... maybe that's why I dun feel so angry...

Wah, so tempted to buy the (not-so) new Kohjinsha SC series notebook... so small and light!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Althoguh the harddisk is only 60GB (SH8 has 120GB), I dun mind, cos the processor is Atom, and 1.33GHz (compare to my SH8 of 800MHz)!!!!!!! Tempting... THe stafdf advise me if I want, I could get a better prie thru' selling in forums and such, than trade in with them... He quoted $400-500... and says becos my model is selling at promo porce of $599 or $699 at last computer show... hmmm.. sounds fishy, how can be that low??? So 'eng siew' him a while then leave... nevermind... since I just upgrade to 2GB for this little machine, I shall still use it for a while more ( "a while" approx = few years...)....

Havn't gotten back my Kohjinsha yet, am currently using the HP 2133 from Starhub... not so good, but can do...

Browse thru' some of my students' blogs, realised some of the concerns which they are unwilling to say in class, or not showing in emotions... Its a good thing they are able to express out, or even vent out their inner emotions thru' blogs... of course this is their side of the story, but again, what I wanted to know is their own feelings... not who is in the right or wrong... I mean, definitely they feel they are right, no matter what you tell them...

Last night is 小年夜, or Little Lunar New Year Eve, ie. the day before Lunar New Year Eve as known in folk tradition. Another (more correct) definition for 小年夜 is the 24th day of the 12th Lunar month. Anyway, as tradition, went down with my mum to the wet market besides my house last night (actually past midnight liao, not really the 小年夜....). Its a bit late, so did not see so much people at the wet market like last year. But still, can you imagine, market stalls still open at 12 plus midnight? People still buying fish, fruits, etc... Mum needed to get some vegetables, and lime... There's even a dim sum stall in the hawker centre besides the market that is still open! Went over to buy some supper, haha... Quite fun to see the market still open in midnight... only once a year such scene will happen...

Sentosa Trip - Day 3

Morning is same as yesterday, went for buffet breakfast at hotel restaurant, then proceed to Underwater World. Used DBS/POSB credit / debit card can discount up to 30%, so pay only $16. Very nice tour, slightly better than the dark & eeries Images of S'pore... Lots of interesting sea creatures to see. Actually 2 weeks later going to bring students there liao, their speical student camp-tour of Underwater World... Then check out, go Hans at Great Eastern Centre for lunch... not that the food there is good, but it is one of the few places that you will be able to find seats during Sunday noon... Now back at home, using the faster internet connection speed... Enjoy the pics!

Sentosa Trip - Day 2

Day 2. Breakfast in hotel restaurant...buffet as usual... then go to jalan... bought the package of 3 + 1 attractions and proceed. Manage to go to only Tiger Sky Tower b4 lunch, then go to lunch back at the hotel restaurant. Then go to Fort Siloso & Images of S'pore... whole of Sentosa was damn packed... Saturday mah... so was about 5 plus when Images of S'pore was done.. so decide to go without the 4D Magix & went over to Vivocity for dinner, at food republic... had a not so nice Korean bibimbap... or something like dat... now waiting to go over to uncle's room for kopi & supper session... pics post next time...

Inside the theatre for intro show... Realised they made Images fo S'pore very eerie most of the places... dunno why, as there is no need to....

Can you believe, they actually have a staff acting as the coolie to explain to visitors... good idea, but a bit weird to locals... and eerily, if you open the toilet, as suggestd byt he coolie-actor, they go and put a human-angkong inside.... wah lau... want to scare visitors oso no this way this place mah...

And long, straight 'sum-sum' (messy & hanging) haired women dolls are everyway.. one even appear just when you walked up the stairs adn there she was right beside you... imgine those with weak heart look up and see a ....

More eerie places not shown, eg the initial dark pathway of jungle that depicts Singapore b4 being founded, he (again) dark jungle pathway of Jap WW2 period... I think those who have went there shld know lah, hahaha...

Sentosa Trip - Day 1

My brother suggested taking a break in Sentosa, as they are able to get a cheaper corporate rate discount. So here I am, together with my uncle family and mine, in Sentosa, for 3 days 2 nights... hence not able to join my old bro Gerald who is back in S'pore with his wife... Checked in at ard 1.30pm, by the time everthing settled ard 4pm. Day 1 not much, only go ard with my bro's family and my 2 folks jalan a bit. Took a monorail ride for fun (its free!!!) to and fro, the kid enjoys it! Haha... Then stop by the Imbiah station, take a walk... was raaining then, so can't walk outside the sheltered places... went up, up, up the escalators... and the kid enjoyed it too... after that return to meet before driving out to dinner at Liang Kee Teochew Restaurant, located at Robertson Quay...Nice food... later going to other room for supper (kopi, red wine, snacks) gathering, so ake this time to blog... hahaha... post some pics... And tomm going to explore Sentosa... man, ard 10 years din come liao....
