Sentosa Trip - Day 3

Morning is same as yesterday, went for buffet breakfast at hotel restaurant, then proceed to Underwater World. Used DBS/POSB credit / debit card can discount up to 30%, so pay only $16. Very nice tour, slightly better than the dark & eeries Images of S'pore... Lots of interesting sea creatures to see. Actually 2 weeks later going to bring students there liao, their speical student camp-tour of Underwater World... Then check out, go Hans at Great Eastern Centre for lunch... not that the food there is good, but it is one of the few places that you will be able to find seats during Sunday noon... Now back at home, using the faster internet connection speed... Enjoy the pics!

Sentosa Trip - Day 2

Day 2. Breakfast in hotel restaurant...buffet as usual... then go to jalan... bought the package of 3 + 1 attractions and proceed. Manage to go to only Tiger Sky Tower b4 lunch, then go to lunch back at the hotel restaurant. Then go to Fort Siloso & Images of S'pore... whole of Sentosa was damn packed... Saturday mah... so was about 5 plus when Images of S'pore was done.. so decide to go without the 4D Magix & went over to Vivocity for dinner, at food republic... had a not so nice Korean bibimbap... or something like dat... now waiting to go over to uncle's room for kopi & supper session... pics post next time...

Inside the theatre for intro show... Realised they made Images fo S'pore very eerie most of the places... dunno why, as there is no need to....

Can you believe, they actually have a staff acting as the coolie to explain to visitors... good idea, but a bit weird to locals... and eerily, if you open the toilet, as suggestd byt he coolie-actor, they go and put a human-angkong inside.... wah lau... want to scare visitors oso no this way this place mah...

And long, straight 'sum-sum' (messy & hanging) haired women dolls are everyway.. one even appear just when you walked up the stairs adn there she was right beside you... imgine those with weak heart look up and see a ....

More eerie places not shown, eg the initial dark pathway of jungle that depicts Singapore b4 being founded, he (again) dark jungle pathway of Jap WW2 period... I think those who have went there shld know lah, hahaha...

Sentosa Trip - Day 1

My brother suggested taking a break in Sentosa, as they are able to get a cheaper corporate rate discount. So here I am, together with my uncle family and mine, in Sentosa, for 3 days 2 nights... hence not able to join my old bro Gerald who is back in S'pore with his wife... Checked in at ard 1.30pm, by the time everthing settled ard 4pm. Day 1 not much, only go ard with my bro's family and my 2 folks jalan a bit. Took a monorail ride for fun (its free!!!) to and fro, the kid enjoys it! Haha... Then stop by the Imbiah station, take a walk... was raaining then, so can't walk outside the sheltered places... went up, up, up the escalators... and the kid enjoyed it too... after that return to meet before driving out to dinner at Liang Kee Teochew Restaurant, located at Robertson Quay...Nice food... later going to other room for supper (kopi, red wine, snacks) gathering, so ake this time to blog... hahaha... post some pics... And tomm going to explore Sentosa... man, ard 10 years din come liao....

Hey Gerald, Sorry... Rest of U Guys too...

Picked up a call from CYQ bro today, told me that our old friend Gerald will be coming back fr M'sia this Fri, they'll be having dinner at ECPark and Gerald's bringing his gf here too... Congrats, Gerald bro! End of your bachelar days liao!!!...

Unfortunately, this Fri mine and my uncle's family are out to Sentosa for 3D2N stay... can't make it.. CYQ bro says can also just go mah, for a while... but can't lah... Fri noon drive to Sentosa, check in hussle, accompany them ard Sentosa.... and if go ECPark, then gotto drive out fr Sentosa to ECPark... then drive fr ECPark back Sentosa... woah... hiong.... why? Cos my eyes tired easily...

So bro Gerald, very very sorry.... Maybe can call him see if can meet for kopi on Sun nite if he haven't left.... hmm... now how to contact him when he is here...

And to bros Henry & ZW, really sorry, pang seh on the last few occasions for the KOK sessions & etc... really paiseh....

Delayed Post #1 - GCE 'N' Level Results are Out

The GCE 'N' Level results are out on Thursday. Not bad for my students for my subject. Both NA and NT got 100% passes. NA got 83% (or 85% ?) distinction. Of coz I believe the other teacher's group got more of these distinction kids, .... but it doesn't bother me... It is the kids who will be getting their grades, not me.... Like I told my other HOD (I got 3 HODs to account for) who congratulated me for the good results, these are their own results, their own consequence for putting in that amount of level, whichever amount they put in... (plus a bit of luck as well...) and their success is through their own efffort....

My c0-form NT class has 1 grp whom I taught D&T to. They did pretty well too... 50+ % got A or B.... "huh? 50% considered good???", you may ask... Think national average is about 20+% nia.... Ok, all these figures are from my pathetic memory only ( I've never been able to remember such data numbers, and I don't care about them in the 1st place either...) ... actual numbers... left it on my office table... maybe get it next Mon then I'll post them....

You should see & hear them clap & cheer when their respective stream's D&T results were annouced by the P....

NA : Distinctions (1 & 2) - 89.5% [29.9%], Passes - 100% [93.9%]
* For my NA grp: 3 got Grade 1, 6 got Grade 2, 1 got Grade 3.

December Is Here... and So Is the Flu Virus...

Have been battling a flu since last week... never manage to recover fully... dunno why.... because of this flu I can't do my work properly (and next Mon is the deadline)... and miss out on a KOK trip with my old kakis.... sianz.... so much want to go KOK, but ... sigh.... this is my annual flu, happens every Dec... during the holidays... what a fate I have...
