Sunday's trip to Chinatown was long overdue... and partly to buy the present for my little nephew's birthday in June... Had a heavy brunch in Hong Lim Food Centre (or some name like that)... Bak Kut Teh... Preferred this type of black (herbal) version over the Teochew clear (pepper only) version... personal preference... This stall serves a soup with okay taste.. nothing too special nor nasty... Average average but is still okay. The meat is super tender though (and not over nor under cooked)... Finish almost everything, including soup itself... Overall good dining session there... The soup costs $4, rice $0.50, and doughtsticks $1...
Then proceed to jalan jalan before going to CSC to collect the toys bought over eBay... SInce the CNY decos are still there, thought might as well snap some pics down...
Finally before going back to CSC, had a kopi-break at the Hill Street Coffee Shop located at Basement 1 in Chinatown Point.... I particularly love the steamed bread with black coffee (aka kopi-o)... very very nice...
