( ヤマダイ Yamadai ) New Touch ニュータッチ Nagoya Taiwan Mazesoba 名古屋発 台湾まぜそば

Bought this from Iroha Mart in Chinatown Point... I think it costs SGD2.90... can't really remember... but find this instant soba quite nice, so bought a couple that day. The soba has a nice chewy texture after cooked, and the overall taste is quite savoury-sweet with a tinge of spiciness. The small bits of mock (???) meat are hard to find after mixing though... Had this for lunch with some blanched kailan with teriyaki sauce (from Iroha Mart as well)...

吳寶春麥方店 Wu Pao Chun Bakery - 荔枝玫瑰麵包 Lychee Rose Royale , 酒釀桂圓麵包 Red Wine Logan

Should have taken the other half of the 酒釀桂圓麵包 Red Wine Logan (bread) too... the taste is very good!!!!!

Visited the 吳寶春麥方店 Wu Pao Chun Bakery today, at Capitol Plaza. It was raining pretty heavy, so probably the no-crowd there... I immediately looked for the 2 champion breads, and was surprised to find they are selling half-loaves. But I also realised I should have bought a whole loaf of the 酒釀桂圓麵包 Red Wine Logan, very very unique. The first thing that caught my attention is the weight of the loaf, quite heavy compared to similar-sized bread. The inner was moist, much more than what I expected (meaning when I microwave for about 15 - 20 seconds, the bread is still moist and soft, nice...) and there are plentiful of the smoked dried-longan and nuts (walnut I think?), and there really is A LOT in the bread. The "wow" factor is the strong "smokiness" smell and taste, very very very unique. Combined with the elegant taste of the red-wine smoked dried longan, the bread is just very tasty ( with the nuts giving some crunching feel when chewing the bread).

The other bread 荔枝玫瑰麵包 Lychee Rose Royale is quite nice too, having a very light but elegant rose fragrance and big bits of dried (?) lychee makes this a very unique taste bread...

Having said that, the price is a bit high... SGD14+ for a half-loaf, and SGD20+ for a full loaf of bread is somewhat pricey... though the bread is pretty big and heavy, and the ingredients are A LOT... and most important the taste is good... So will I make a return-purchase? ... Well... probably yes, though not often... The bakery does also sell the smaller bread/bun and other stuff ( I bought some too, see the pictures above... ) which are not that expensive compared to this 2 types but somewhat similar priced to those in Breadtalk...
