Little Couples Q Noodle - JaJiang 小夫妻Q麵 炸醬

Costs $8.80 from ezbuy.sg ... Tried their mock-oyster flavor earlier, and in short, very chewy noodles that need to be cooked around 1 minute more than their recommended time, else the noodles may be a bit too hard. Flavour is good, though not much of surprise. This JaJiang version's sauce is lesser in quantity and also less sweet than the typical Korean instant noodles type. Nice!

Mala Fragrance Pot 麻辣香锅 - Daily Upward Chinese Food 天天向上 @ Bedok South Market & Food Centre

Had dinner with my parents just now at Bedok South Market & Food Centre... We had been wanting to try the Mala Fragrance Pot 麻辣香锅 at this stall Daily Upward Chinese Food 天天向上 for some time... So this cold evening was a good time to try out!!! And we were not disappointed at all!!!



Ordered a total of $12 including 2 bowls of rice and 1 plain bun 馒头 ... Because we are not sure of the spiciness level, we ordered small-spicy level, which was not very spicy, subsequent order will probably be mid-spicy... Very very very nice!!! Even my picky father also praised the food and commented the peanuts used are very fresh... The pricing  (per portion) is roughly like this: vegetables $1 / meat $2 / seafood -$3, with exception to some special ingredients...  Will probably return for more visits... hahahaha...

I-Mei Milk Puff 義美小泡芙 牛奶

Bought these to try out if they are as good as the videos claimed to be... The outer layer is crispy, and the "milk" filling is quite ok... but it has a slightly strong "egg" smell, which I am not a fan of... so, probably will not be buying again... hahahaha...

Indo Mie - Mi Goreng ( Indonesia )

The noodles are quite chewy, and this one is quite popular in Taiwan... I added a fried egg, and it proves to be a good enhancement!!! Hahahaha...

Tseng Noodles - Hu Sesame Flavor 曾拌麵 胡蔴醬香 ft. Uncle Shrimp Dried Shrimps 蝦叔叔 大尾蝦酥

I was a bit skeptic about the thin noodles of Tseng Noodles - Hu Sesame Flavor 曾拌麵 胡蔴醬香 , but decided to give it a try... and was very surprised when I removed the noodles out into the bowl... The noodles are so chewy!!! Very very nice... In fact, this Tseng Noodles - Hu Sesame Flavor 曾拌麵 胡蔴醬香 is now my 3rd place (the top 2 joint positions are the other Tseng scallion noodles and Mom's mala noodles)... Sesame fragrance is strong, and can see tiny bits of the sesame paste covering the noodles after mixing... Very very nice... I added some Uncle Shrimp Dried Shrimps 蝦叔叔 大尾蝦酥 to enhance the meal... The dried shrimp crisps packed a powerful punch of shrimp flavour, but to call the shrimps 大尾 ... well.... take a look at some of the shrimps' sizes in the video, you'll be the judge, hahaha...

Was so happy to see ezbuy getting new food stuff into its"ezbuy" list!!!! Only saw these 2 on youtube before, so quickly purchased them the moment I saw it... nice...


Sheng Zu Peanut Candy 聖祖貢糖 in its original flavor at $9.90 for 12 pieces in a box... Very very very nice!!!!! Even my father who was the pickiest food for peanut candy loved this one very much!!! The outer layer about 6 mm is crispy, and once bite into it, the inside fresh peanut bits crumbled to fill your mouth... It is not so sweet compared to the local version, and the freshness of the peanut can be tasted... very nice...


Uncle Shrimp Dried Shrimp Crisp 蝦叔叔 大尾蝦酥 ... 3 packs each of 25 grams cost $16.50 ... Is quite nice!!!! Whole shrimps are given, including the head which we don't really want to eat due to the high cholesterol... The shrimps are supposedly prepared by first marinated in sugar and salt water(??), half-cooked in water, then low-temperature-vacuumed-fried... So the outer is quite crispy, and the inside is floss meat type... The shrimp-flavor is VERY strong, especially if you slowly chew in your mouth... very nice!!!! Note: Picture below is taken after some shrimps are already in our stomach...
