Cousin bought me 2 packets of my (current) favourite instant noodles, the Prima Juzz's Mee - Original Spicy Flavour!!! Nice!!!! Have been hunting for it recently without success... Cost $2.50 per pack (RRP is $2.70 I think ???)...
The noodles are the mee pok type, i.e. wide and flat. They seem to be slightly thicker than other instant noodles brands... Each small packet comes with a small packet of powder seasoning and seasoning oil which I have poured onto the plate, and also 1 packet of chilli flakes that will be added in later, according to the individual preference of spiciness...
Pork balls, which are cooked first before putting in the noodle cake, are added to enhance the meal...
After cooking the noodles for about 4 mins, they are drained and transferred over to the plate to be mixed with the seasoning powder and oil, and also the chilli flakes... nice... The seasoning gives a mild old school dry mee pok taste, and is quite fragrance, though a bit saltish, so perhaps can add in about 3/4 packet of seasoning powder should do... The chilli flakes can be quite hot, so put in accordingly to your own preference... The highlight of this is the noodle quality... It is quite chewy and bouncy, due to its slightly thicker noodle thickness, and free of the stale flour smell that you sometimes get from some other instant noodles... Prima is indeed an expert in flour... Love it... Hahahaha....
Next, introducing the instant miso soup pack I got from Daiso... It works out to be just 40 cents per small pack of soup, which is quite cheap!!! And the taste is quite good too!
The contents (1 small packet of miso paste and 1 small packet of ingredients) ... I bought the tofu version, and the ingredients come in generous portions... nice...
Add in hot water and stir.... and you get a bowl of nice miso soup with generous portions of tofu, spring onion, kelp (hidden at bottom of bowl, hee hee)... nice nice....
And here's my birthday lunch!!! Nice nice!!! Hahaha...
