本来got many things to write, many pics to put up.... but now... dun feel like to... didn't really think of it until just now a collegue mention... why my name is not in the list of promotees, but list has got some others instead... people who just "sit, got pregnant, & talk only".... & etc... hahaha... I would really have not bothered about it if he hadn't mention these pple... but then, think a bit more, realised that, they have put up "good show"... no surprise they are promoted... yeah, "good SHOW" is equivalent to "good Performance"... anyway, congratulations to them.. it only makes me know clearer what I should... or rather, should not do in the future... heck, anyway, I know I cannot pass my conscience, to do things against my beliefs.... so, won't be sighing that much for not promoted... but still, it saddens me to think that in this line, (tangible) "performance" is still so important... K, cannot write too much here, else may be crossing the "professional" line... sleep...

Hello G!!!

Hello G, nice talking to you after quite a long time, not bad leh, still ok so far in KL... Got a short but nice chat with old brudder G over MSN... talked about ourselves, work, etc... oh yah, had to ask him about what he is doing currently, cos of my bad memory... haha, G, I'm sure urs is definitely better than mine... and I mean it when I say my bad memory can sometimes get me into trouble... Oh, yes, bro LH, once again I feel I must apologised, although we've agreed to move past this & support our bro HZ... Was a bit pissed off after hearing more of the "incredible tales", & bluntly reacted & commented.... Din realised (cos HZ dun seem to have any unusual reactions to this at then... & seemed ok after our tcs... ) till our conversation...

Wah... tomorrow still got contact time... i.e. no early release liao.... sianz....

My IT Gadgets From These Weeks...

Yeah... pic of new IT gadgets bought these past few weeks... $ flying... Gadgets' boxes are on top, actual gadgets (from left):


1. Optical Mouse ($5) - (IT Show 08) Well worth the money! Superb size! Nice-clicking feel of buttons! The only thing I am to be very very picky will be the roller wheel not so ergonomically placed to roll upwards.

2. Buffalo MiniStation 250GB Ext HDD 2.5" ($179) - (IT Show 08) Inside is Fujitsu HDD!Well worth the price. Originally intend to get the Western Digital at $165 but sold out, but this Buffalo is definitely its match, if not better! I decide to use it for personal laptop and the school laptop I will use my (slightly) older Prezmate 2.5" 250GB (Samsung HDD inside)...

3. Nokia N82 ($538) - (Singtel exclusive retailer near my house) ... What else can I say... Just realise it has a better reception for Wireless LAN than N80... Just 1 word - SUPERB!

4. Kingston microSD (HCSD) 4GB ($53.90) - (SLS) The only non-bargain gadget I bought... was abt $15 more than the IT Show 08 price; $6 more than the cheapest shop in SLS, but both prices have no stock... And I am not prepared to wait for next PC Show or make another trip to SLS... So grab 1st! ... Worth lah, consider this is also the 1st time I have a female companion to lunch with me and shop with me in SLS, hahahah..... Shiok to see 4166 photos available to take with my N82's camera with maximum setting!!!! Song ah! hahaha...

Busy Busy Week...

.... since Friday... Had to handle 9 periods of lessons, including 2 periods of class test... finally over, went to collect other test scripts, tidy up table a bit, then off to home!! Rest a bit, then went down to indoor stadium to support the netballers... not bad results, ladies! Runner-ups, u've done ur best!!! Champions, congratulations!... went to lim kopi with a new colleague in sister-dept, chatted... then went home, no mood to mark tests papers liao...

... Next day, woke up late... surf net, decided to mark papers later, which never happen, cos realised that mark schemes was not done, haha... meet up with old brudders in the evening... later realised its a real pity can't join them for the IT Show with all the good bargains... sigh... was busy preparing the mark scheme for the papers... decided to join them for dinner & suggested to go for pool... Hiong hiong pushed our stomachs to the limit at the HK styled cafe-restaurant in Katong (old police building).... shiok... but also sorry to hear abt the unpleasant news of 1 of my brudder... no worries bro, glad to lend a listening ear, ... I'm sure things will turn out fine eventually...

... Sunday... hooked on Bedazzled 2!!!!!!! Solid game!!!!!!! Thanks ZW!... woke up damn late... again, no mood to mark paper... dunno why... And thanks for helping to buy the stuff, HZ!...

Monday... went to a conference.. hahaha... call themselves "conference"... nevermind... enjoyed myself, learnt new stuff... after that, run off with my NIE-Sis to eat her 小笼包... i mean eat the 小笼包... at NanXiang at Bugis Junction... wow, hoot until bloated... solid... then we went over Sim Lim to get my microSD card.... shopped ard, couldn't get the best price one, but nevermind lah, still get 1 decent one... its been a long long time since we had a long chat liao, sis, thks ... next time must ask u why my bro whom I want to intro to u is not ur cup of tea....

Tuesday... morning got lesson with class.... stayed till ard 1pm... nice bunch of pple... now getting more & more motivated... even the fella who has been in trouble last time... phew... am I glad... then, FINALLY!!!! Got the mood to mark papers!.... Meet up with the the same 2 brudders again in evening to makan, initially wanted to eat & go cathc the "Meet The Spartans" , but was too late, so called off... again, sumptious dinner of bar-choh mee, char-kway, satay, finished off with ar-boh lengs (tang-yuan)... wah!!! reminds of the good old days of our brudders' gathering.... and got my Buffalo Ext hdd and mouse.... Bestest!! Thks HZ!... HZ, things will tuen out fine. beneficial to both parties... its good now that the other side really know what u really feel & gone thru... we'll support u....

New Handphones.... Again.....

Yes! That's right! As promised.... Went to temple to pray today... heavy rain... took quite long time, cos dunno what to do... just ask around & follow what others do... then rush over to buy new handphones for mother & father... bought 2 x N2630 (no contract) in the end... then when reach home, my folks told me that they saw another (nearby) shop selling cheap & sms me... at $22/pc cheaper than what I bought.... Awwww..... I din saw the sms tilll reach home, too late... but, haha, nevermind lah, as long as happy can already, what's the extra $44 to me? Big deal (in this case only).... so long they are happy... which I think they are... cos long time din see father fiddle & fiddle so much with a new gadget liao... too bad I accidentally damage the screen protector for my mother's handphone... will buy her another tommorrow... or Friday... perhaps Friday more convenient... set... oh, pics of the N2630 coming soon...

*Edit: Here's the pic of N2630... very very very nice budget phones, good functions, camera, etc... solid... well worth the $ spent (though $22/pc more...)

My New Handphone!!!

Finally got my new handphone on Monday... yeah, I know its Wednesday today, but I got no time to blog... anyway, here's it! N82!

3.5G phone, 5 Megapixels Carl-Zeiss lens camera with Xenon flash, auto-rotation (potrait-landscape), etc.... (Pic above taken using Nikon L14 with flash)

It is not a slide phone.. I had enuff of that... nevertheless, I am beginning to feel like bringing my N80 to repair and then lay to rest... at least I know that I have a working handphone lying there....

My Meals Today...

Breakfast
Work up a bit late ( 9.20am), cos was supposed to go for a family gathering for buffet for lunch... so can't eat much.... started to brainstorm with parents... saw the chinese papers cover page " Kaya Toast.." bingo.... bring out remaining 2 pcs of kopitiam bread, kaya, butter... mum sliced & toasted the bread.... me make coffee... then spread the kaya+butter... oh, & got 2 half-boiled eggs to go... wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!

Lunch
Buffet at Marina Mandarin Hotel.... not too good... but still ok lah, at least very full.... played with baby nephew there... then whole lot proceed to brother's house for dinks & chat... Surf net for infor on handphones... yeap, my damn 2 yr old N80 down.... almost completely out... need to get 1 desperately.... but where to find time to go & hunt... nevermind, will try....

Dinner
Home-cooked HK styled Yi-Ding noodles, complete with ham & fried egg... was only thinking of cooking it simple initially, just boil the ham & cook the noodles fast.. then dad came in and nagged that ham taste better if fried... and without more words, he switch off the fire, bring the metal bowl of 1/2 boiled water to the hotplate (yes, he thought hotplate is still very good to cook instant noodles,... but he's wrong... its not suitable... ) Heat up pan, oiled, fried the ham, then the egg... but egg turn out not nice-looking, as oil not enuff... dad threw away egg (despite I say nevermind), & cook a second one... finally the Yi-Ding noodles done, & slurp in 10 minutes... Aiyah! I only wanted to cook the noodles A.S.A.P. !!!!!!! (that's why it is call Instant Noodles)... And partly I also "pad dor yiao".... but my dad has to come in & add this add that, took 20 mns instead... hmmm.... for that... I think I will.... buy him a new handphone! Thanks dad!! I love the egg & ham! Delicious!! (Although 10 yrs ago I will definitely quarrel with him if he does so, hahahaha... not appreciative in the past... ) will get one for mum too... hmm... siong... need to buy 3 hps!!! At least $1k.... but nevermind lah......... worth.....
