Work... work... work.... think

Funny how this thing is going on & on & on... kids who are not interested in studying, are "forced" to go to school... wait... why do they dun-like study?... lots of factors... parent dun care... parent care too much... parent themselves are like that.... peer influence.... peer influence due to lack of parental guidance... in fact, the parent's daily actions, words, tones, behaviours, etc ... slowly, but surely, influences the kids.... Look at one of the tv ad, the parent kneels down to the kid in gratefulness as the kid can fold his own blanket!!!! hahahaha..... so, parents are at fault???!!! Nope, not totally... society is partly to be blamed... imagine some people trying to tell people that "hey! children are to be sayanged! Don't treat them harshly! Tell them the rationale, let them understand.... I'm different from you (normal folks), I talked to them..." ...... maybe it worked at the beginning where it is still during the old system, cos its a thing only a handful will do (makes them "different", seen as "wonderful" educators perhaps????) .... or is it they don't want their own kids to be punished... cos are their "darlings".... well, I dunno.... could be.... may be... but... kids' rationale is DIFFERENT from adults' rationale!!!! How should a lamb use speech to convince a tiger to become a herbivore?...

But what I see, as a result, nowadays is the type of kids/adults we have in society.... with the big SELF.... everything is themselves.... thinking about themselves... well, nothing wrong, some say, .... its the survival of the fittest... well, yeah, quite true... but... somehow seems weird... but then... and .... what can we do? We can't do anything to them, in case parent complain... Dun tell me u dunno how ur kid is behaving in school? What? U can't do anything to him? Then how the hell in the past 15 years have you been raising ur kid?.... Now u tell me u dissappointed with him? hmm.... who shld be more dissappointed...

.... seems its the "in" thing to not to mete punishment to those kids, but more "holy" way is to counsel them... wow, what a "holy" management... hmmm..... my belief is that kids at a smaller age cannot be reasoned with, simply because their "reason" is illogical to our "reason" and vice-versa.... sometimes this gets better as they grow mature.... hello, i use the word "mature", not older... sometimes not... else why do we still have punishements in courts... or in army.... might swell just only counsel these offenders.... dun tell me adults cannot understand better than a 15 yr old kid?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ......... or is it.....

I'm not blaming the kids, they are not in the wrong, how can they be when to them, this is right!... And sometimes their parents are doing themselves! ..... I'm not blaming the parents... u just love ur kids too much... but u failed to reflect on ur own daily way of action, speech, behaviours... Maybe ur parents do that to urself when u are children.... I dun blame the initators of .. "love-not-cane" ????, cos they need to earn a (good....) living to feed themselves.... and others... they dare to be different... who to blame?? ... hmmm.... why blame.... no one will admit.... no point....

Finally... 1st trophy for Club!

Yes, today is my no-lesson day... yet still have to bring kids to ITE for competition... luckily, we had a good time there... joking, chatting, eating... and yes, we finally won a trophy! 2nd Runner-up, and its a improvement over the last one (merit award, aka non-top-3)! Its been a while... Congratulations, kids!

Back to reality... tommorrow is my 9-periods day... and still got unlimited periods after school... sigh... from heaven drop to hell....

Nevermind, I shall survive...

Working Day...

Feels like a normal working day... lesson as usual, then got to settle a case of student verbal insult of instructor... sigh... luckily that fella seem to realize... anyway, settled... sigh... are kids getting more extremed parents nowadays? So much that they are either overly-pampered, or overly-deprived... or both... or non.... Was chatting with an old teacher-turned-councillor in the late morning.... he sort of hinted me that I should not be harsh on that student... yeah, thanks for the advice, but what you say I am already been doing it... hmm... so, no need you already, since I can anytime replace you??? hahaha, dun worry, Wilfred, I won't snatch your rice bowl, and thanks for the chat! Yes, I do agree sometimes its the tone that sets the whole episode, but not all the time....

Still got to take care of the robots, cos tomm got competition... sigh, tomm is my no-lesson day, but still got to bring them to competition... nevermind lah, maybe if got free time, then go to polyclinic to get the doctor to put down diagnosis on MC, else no paid medical leave...

School soccer team won 7-1! Yeah!!!... Saw the school netballers training near house when coming back, stop to chat with the teacher I/C... and happen to meet an ex-student.... and he commented about the fierce netball coach.... hahahahaha.... indeed..... reminds me of the days in SOS, there lived a lady QM, whom we call Congo.... hmmm.... similar indeed.... hahahaha....

Today is Sick Day....

Am on 2 days mc.... not really that serious but since feeling weird & lethargic, so might as well make use of these 2 days to take some rest... Though dun think will have 2 full days... already today almost 1 whole day gone trying to transfer contacts from my spoilt h/p to an old one... damn new hp only shows 60+ of the 201 contacts in my SIM card... Bloody hell! SIM indicates got space, somemore phone memory still got so much space yet... In the end, keng and keng.. finally use another unused SIM to transfer.... finally manage to get the more common & important ones over 1st.... In between still can have hiccups... Before this, I was trying to synch h/p contacts with SIM contacts, also take a long time..... cos stupid h/p's buttons were sometimes working sometimes not... 21 Feb, please come quick.... so that I can go & buy a new h/p... not that I fancy a new one, but I really need to replace that bloody spoilt one (lifespan < 2 yrs...)

I'M VERY VERY VERY TIRED BUT I DUNNO WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ..... must sleep early tonight....

Oh, yes, I finally manage to post messages in co-form class's blog...

Saturday!!!! And its still working day!!!!! ..... sigh... lucky got some kids to accompany... and a super chatty ex-student who gong-gong came back to work on a project when her teacher not around... thanks people! XiaoHui, have an enjoyable Chingay!

Fire-fighting tomorrow... & Happy V Day!

Heard that tomorrow is Emergency Evacuation, so my job is to fight fire. I am the DY of the Fire Extinguishing Group, the Head is new to his role, and bestest is.... he didn't attend any briefings... huat ah, got to have this type of Head.... Hope for the best tomorrow...

No lessons today, but tommorrow sure is busy... morning got to help administer temperature taking for class, 9 periods of lesson, fire-fight, and then attend to students for extra session after school.... Good luck to me...

Today went to Grange Rd for a course on setting exam questions... not too bad, learn something... meet up with some folks, some good, some bad.... nevermind...

oh, yah, today is Valentine's Day (aka Earn-Big-Bucks Day).... Happy Valentine's Day to all out there!!!!

1st Day of Work / School

Today is my 1st day of work, after CNY break.... suprisingly, didn'y have the sianz-drag-myself-to-work mood... strange... Anyway... my co-form class kenna scolded by the form teacher, for not making any efforts to sell the carnival coupons... the money collected will go to needy students... I wonder how many of those no-efforters listen in... but kids at this age will always be kids... they think they know all & own the world... nothing wrong with that, its all about the mental perceptions & way of thinking at different stages in life.... we adults wnated the kids to grow to be what we are as, but in fact we have sometimes forgotten how we used to "think" when we are at that stage...

Today stay till late in school, partly due to some students stay back to do journal (well-done kids!!) and also the Robots practising & building their Sumobots for next week competition.... Today received the training proposal for my club... Difference in quoted price... called the fella and he say is he "forget" to include in the other component... yeah, as if I believe... entirely different from his email confirmation... wtf... got to depend on another trainer my co-Robot teacher contacts with... see how this Friday...

Sigh.... as usual, TOTO didn't win anything....

At night manage to chat with old friend, whom I haven't seen in umpteen years... Hello, G! Hope we can meet up soon!!
